His blatant politicking and electioneering only fuel speculation of a snap election in the near future, from a PNM government that has not improved the lives of citizens in any way since taking office in 2015.
Minister Young ought to familiarize himself with the history of his political party and gangs before trying to alter reality.
Far from being informed of measures that the Government intends to take regarding the out of control crime problem, citizens were instead subjected to Minister Young once again using his office to try to cast aspersions on his political opponents and average citizens who speak out against this government’s failure and inability to govern.
Young has abandoned any pretence of being a Minister of National Security and has reverted to his familiar and preferred role of PNM propagandist.
Perhaps, due to the fact that Young and this Government have nothing to show after three and a half years in office, he continues to stick to his tired message of blaming the UNC as a means of covering up their incompetence.
Young has so effectively bastardized his office, he can no longer be taken seriously as Minister of National Security, a role which requires a sensible and logical approach, not someone prone to impromptu rants.
