UNC Chairman Extends Divali Greetings
“Let us value each other’s contribution”
As our Hindu brothers and sisters get ready to celebrate Divali also known as the festival of lights there are many lessons that can be learnt and practiced from this auspicious festival by all citizens of our nation if we are to progress as a united people.
Divali which signifies the victory of light over darkness as well as good over evil calls On us to ask ourselves what is the good and light that is able conquer the prevailing darkness.
The light and goodness is representative of the talents and special qualities that we all possess as citizens which if utilised properly can not only positively impact the life of others but eradicate the darkness of suffering, hurt ,depression, crime ignorance and poverty that plagues our nation.
The thousands of deyas which light the night of Divali night also demonstrate the victory of working together for a common purpose.
One deya cannot illuminate the sky but thousands of deyas all doing the same thing produces the amazing Divali lights.
Similarly If we all as citizens are able to love, respect and value each other’s contribution we would enable the talents of each other to shine and make our nation more radiant as we work together for the common purpose development.
So as we move forward as a nation let us learn to value the contributions of each other by uplifting and motivating each other.
As Chairman of the United National Congress I would like to wish the members of the Hindu Community Shubh Divali and may the festival of lights brighten our lives with happiness, good health and prosperity.
