Too much politics and inaccuracies surrounding accident
(1) It was a driver who was part of the Attorney General’s security detail, not the Attorney General, who was driving the vehicle and thus it was he who a party in the accident. The AG was not even present at the accident site, so while he can assume responsibility for the incident, he is not obligated to do so. It is out of high level of social responsibility that he has.
(2) Mr. Jack Warner and members of the ILP saw a perfect opportunity to milk an unfortunate event for political mileage, claiming to take care of Mr. Rampaul’s medical bills at the time of the accident and then reneging on this promise when the media attention died down. Mr. Inshan Ismael is also creating a media circus out of the incident.
(3) The Attorney General, out of respect for the man’s privacy, choose to handle this situation away from the glare of media attention, visiting him in a private capacity. He has assured the man’s family that the medical bills will be handled by Ministry of Health, and barring this, by him personally.
It is quite unfortunate that the misinformation surrounding this incident has been spun to this level, taking out of the equation the most person, the victim himself.

The vultures would do anything in attempts to take the PP apart. This is their way of “leadership.”To the magnitude of a most caring and considerate AG of this country,I say hat’s off to such a selfless act and I commend the numerous efforts of an effective ministry and leader.
