The use of technology improves PM ratings
Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace allow you to find and connect with just about anyone, from a co-worker thousands of miles away to you long lost childhood sweetheart. The Internet has erased boundaries and created an unprecedented level of freedom of expression that can be echoed far and wide within a fraction of a second.
Browsing these sites can make you feel connected to a larger community, but such easy, casual connection in an electronic environment can also have its downside. It provides a platform for everyone and often provides a mass of misinformation and propaganda. Perhaps it is at best the ideal free marketplace of ideas from which we take what’s best. At worst it offers damaging content that often goes unchecked since there is no gatekeeper.
The upside to technology on the whole is that it allows people to work from anywhere – be that at home, on a bus, in a coffee shop and so on. We are now in an era where meeting ones deliverables is more important than physically being in an office. Productivity is the benchmark by which we are being judged and measured.
As they saying goes, there cannot be good without evil; we can use a knife to slice a piece of bread or to injure someone. I think the Prime Minister (PM) has been able to whether the negative propaganda and prove that she can use technology deliver to us 24/7. This has been confirmed by the improvement in her ratings in recent times.
Keep up the good work honourable PM!
