The teacher returns to school!
The Hon. Ramona Ramdial, Member of Parliament for Couva North returned to the classroom on 7th May 2013 with a different role. The MP for Couva North, accompanied by members of her technical and constituency staff visited 12 primary schools across the length and breadth of Couva North to distribute stationery to the Standard 5 Examination students and to offer them words of wisdom and advice.
MP Ramdial, a former Vishnu Boys Hindu College teacher, greeted the students from each school wishing them the best of luck in their exams. She reiterated the need for students to rest well, pray to God, seek their parents blessing, eat healthy foods before the exam and they would surely succeed. MP Ramdial made the challenge to all of her schools in Couva North, urging the young students to go out and achieve excellence and mentioned that she looks forward to some of her students in Couva North receiving National Awards at this year’s Secondary Entrance Assessment.
The schools visited were: Montrose Vedic School, Chandenagore Presbyterian School, Agostini K.P.A Primary, Orange Field Hindu School, Carapichaima ASJA Primary, Caripichaima Anglican, Waterloo Presbyterian, Waterloo Hindu Primary, Orange Valley Government Primary School, Couva Anglican Primary, Freeport Hindu Primary School, and Mc Bean Hindu Primary School.
Education and ‘People-centred’ development continues to be a main priority to the Member of Parliament for Couva North.
