Shame on sickening anti-Kamla trio
THE EDITOR: It could not have been any more sickening to see Basdeo Panday, Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj and Jack Warner at the same venue, knocking, not just the Government, but specifically, Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
The sight of these three old and tired, resigned and faded politicians who have all been casualties of their testosterone-driven politics of one-man ship, of I and I and I, would make even the party faithful get gastroenteritis.
After Panday rejected Ramesh when he won the internal elections over Carlos John, after Panday accused Warner of taking money raised for the UNC, after Panday said he was no longer politically good looking and wanted to write books, he now wants to take the UNC back from a back door. My God!
These three men, frustrated by the loss of their political libido after their election defeats, ten to one for Panday, in particular, have now teamed up to fight Kamla. Shame on them: they serve no useful purpose except to sling mud. They have no contribution left in them.

Lystra, you need some Listerine to wash out your mouth. Your beloved mistress is riding high above the platform built by Bas, Ramesh and Jack. What has the UNC achieved in the last three and a half years? Two miles of highway that was a PNM project. Where are the mega projects? At least Patrick and the PMN completed projects that the UNC/PP are reveling in – Diplomatic Centre, Water Front and Down Town Port of Spain Development, Chancery Lane Hospital. Where are the new hospitals, Court Houses, Licencing Authorities, Children Authority, Reduction in Crime and murder of little children, road accidents & deaths etc. At least they can lay claim to presiding over unprecedented corruption and nepotism that have fallen to a new low in world indices. Wake up Lystra, shed your yellow, Green and red may suit you.
Panday’s corruption kept the party in opposition, he was actually arrested for corruption, how can a person like that expect to command a majority of the electorate? And mega projects don’t mean development because half of the country never stepped foot in those PNM skyscrapers. Delivering pipe borne water to villages that didn’t have it for 50 years is development. The Couva hopsital, 8 new police stations, UWI south campus, and Motor Vehicle Headquarters are development. Children’s life fund, senior grants, laptops for kids, roads and drains for rural communities are development. Kamla has achieved more in her 3 years than PNM did in 30.
This government has done more for the peopleof this country than the pnm ever did.To jim who has left a comment above anout no mega projects by the pp, what about the couve childrens hospital, cancer centre in mount hope and the uwi south campus. What about the laptops and the highwaus?the only thing pnm did was commision hyatt which only the rich can afford to use
POLITICALLY ILLITERATE
Jim you are a political illiterate, bankrupt of facts ideology and like a slithering snake can only spit venom at anything good.Moses gave up all his power as an heir to the throne, fought against the bandages of slavery against PHARAOH to free the Israelite. He led the people to the promise land and despite all this on his return from the holy mountain the people became impatient and carved an image of a calf. There is too much happening around you for you to make those candid, unsupported and callous comments. I urge you to read more study the PPG policies on sustainable development, macro and micro economic framework, drive to new sources of energy and financial dynamics of our country. After you have read on these then can you make such an illiterate comment.
