No one can dispute that Dr. Keith Rowley’s performance as the Leader of the Opposition over the course of the last three years has been extremely wanting. His record of achievement is non-existent, and he is building an extremely long list of failures under his leadership. However, it seems that he does not learn from his mistakes. It seems that he is oblivious to the story of the boy crying wolf, of how fast your credibility could be eroded if you constantly keep putting half truths and innuendos out in the public domain. It would appear that he is suffering from a serious character flaw of deceitfulness. It started with the Attorney General’s fictional trip to New York and his accusations of Senator Ramlogan’s alleged acts of racism, a most serious and damning accusation. However, even though this was totally false, he kept up the charade for almost a year when the facts could have been easily verified. Then we came to ’emailgate”, which, when all the dust settles, will be shown to be a very sad day for our democracy that such a travesty was given life in the hallowed halls of our parliament. Dr. Rowley actions in this whole affair has shown that he is grasping at straws and trying to create unnecessary mischief just to score cheap political points.
Now we have another case of his character flaw bearing its ugly head. He is again making half baked accusation, throwing out insinuations about money in a trunk and ministers buying houses and cars in Canada.
I sincerely would like to know, as a honest, hardworking taxpaying citizens of this great country, that if a government official is pilfering my money, and you have the evidence, that you come out tells us. Please do not string us along. It seems that these accusations are just rumours designed to create mischief. However, I think that Dr. Rowley knows fully well what he is doing, putting these accusations out in the public domain to sway public opinion, intended to create and develop negative impressions of the persons that he is accusing. What a devious, cowardly and devilish act! I urge you Dr. Rowley, if you have no hard evidence, keep silent and maintain the little credibility you have left.
