Rowley should stop pointing fingers
Keith Rowley has made a habit of criticising the government and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bisseaar over appointments and for alleging that there is no proper vetting people’s credentials before making appointment.
Yet when he puts forward a slate of candidates to lead the PNM he includes someone who was disqualified from a tertiary level institution for plagiarism.
Rowley is boasting of having the better team of men and women of outstanding character but he has failed to do proper background checks and is therefore offering his party a flawed slate for the People’s National Movement’s internal election on May 18.
We call on Rowley to cease and desist from attacking the PM and the government now that he has shown that he is incapable of doing proper background checks on his own slate of candidates.
We do not wish to interfere in the internal affairs of the PNM but we believe that this is an issue that needs to be in the public domain so that members of the party, who have to vote in the internal election, could demand to know who is this person and if others also have questionable backgrounds.
