Rowley forced to apologize to President Carmona
Keith Rowley continues to demonstrate that he has no respect for Trinidad and Tobago and the offices of our land. He has once again been reckless in his allegations, not exercising due diligence, instead racing to the media to in a sensationalist manner to accuse the President of “patching up” the Integrity Commission.
This kind of behaviour is coming from a man interviewing for the job of Prime Minister of this country. A man who has repeatedly suffered from “foot in mouth syndrome” and when shown definitively that he was wrong, he mumbles a half-hearted apology and then moves to continue attack our institutions.
Rowley has continued to prove that he is not worthy of holding high office. He has yet to demonstrate any of the qualities that make a good leader. He makes rash and unsubstantiated claims, much more in line with that of a tabloid reporter than someone who is serious about good governance. The country is still reeling from his reckless email accusations, and yet he still stands belligerently insisting that his is right despite having repeatedly been shown that he was wrong. He still owes the Prime Minister, and the country an apology that ill-conceived political gimmick.
Before the country could recover from one Rowley lie, we are hit by another in an almost constant series of attacks. Perhaps his time would be better spent developing a vision to present to the electorate rather than his creative storytelling. However, I am sure in the coming weeks as he becomes more desperate we would be treated to even more gimmickry so we can expect more apologies. Today it is the President, who would be next?
