Nathifa Ahing is 20 years of age and currently an Upper 6 student of the Tranquillity Secondary School (TSS) where she is reading for qualifications – Management of Business, Economics, Sociology and the requisite Caribbean Studies – that will set her along the path of qualifying as an Attorney-at-Law.
Among the skills that she has developed over the course of her Secondary education is critical thinking, problem-solving through in-depth analysis, conflict management, adaptability and flexibility. Her philosophy of philanthropy has endowed her with a helpful attitude, caring nature and the ability to love despite differences.
In her current position as the President of the School’s Interact Club and Student Council, she is able to put to use the above stated skills and attributes. With her having been a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force for two (2) years has taught her discipline, perseverance and resilience. Her recent membership of the TSS Football Team, during which time they won four trophies in the last season, she learned the value of Teamwork, commonality, and the power of a unified purpose.
Among her future intentions are: qualifying to the Trinidad and Tobago National Women’s Netball Team, and enrolment–this September – at the University of the West Indies’ Saint Augustine Campus’ Faculty of Law where she will read for the Bachelors of Law.
