Barry Shiva Padarath is a 32-year-old young professional who holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of the West indies in the field of International Relations, History and Government. He is currently pursuing law with the University of London and has also completed certificates in global studies and world affairs at the University of Wisconsin, USA and Atlantic College in Wales, UK on a Rotary Scholarship award.
Barry has a wealth of experience in the field of diplomacy and communications. He has served Trinidad and Tobago as a diplomatic representative in the foreign service and was appointed deputy head of ceremonials for the Commonwealth heads of government meeting 2009.
Barry is an accomplished young man and has worked towards the progress of Trinidad and Tobago with organizations such as the United Nations and the Commonwealth. He is passionate about empowering young people to achieve their true potential and is also a motivational speaker with several youth organizations.
Barry currently serves as the youngest advisor to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and has steadily and proudly held this position for the past five years. His portfolio includes community relations matters, policy planning and implementation.
