PM meets with Consortium of Disability Organisations
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, today (Wednesday April 23, 2014) continued the National Conversation with a meeting with the Consortium of Disability Organisations (CODO) in St Ann’s.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister told members and representatives of CODO: “Today’s meeting with the members of CODO is a continuation of my national conversation and during the coming days and weeks, we will be consulting organisations and groups as well as people directly, to discuss their hopes and their priorities for the future of our country.”
The Prime Minister also congratulated the CODO representatives, saying: “You currently have students from the University of Toronto interning at your school and as I welcome them, I also congratulate you all on the progress you continue to make, and the level of importance attached to your work both here at home, and abroad.”
The conversation was led by CODO President Ms Sharda Ramlackhan.
