PADARATH: ROWLEY NEEDS TO FIX HIS GOV’T NOW
Princes Town MP, Barry Padarath slammed the petty and vile comments from Prime Minister Keith Rowley on his call for Rowley to remove Sport Minister, Darryl Smith and Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi over allegations of sexual harassment and an alleged conspiracy to have the matter covered up.
Padarath said that he took note of the Express front page headline as well as the supporting articles. While Padarath admitted that there was a grammatical error in the initial release sent out by his office, he stated that it was corrected and resent in a short space of time.
The MP lashed back at the Prime Minister’s comments, saying that he fixed his grammar but the Prime Minister still needed to fix his government. Padarath stated that Rowley sought to distract from his own irresponsibility and lack of action on the two cabinet ministers and failed to deal with the substantive issue at hand.
The Princes Town MP further added that he was not fazed by the crass and callous response of the Prime Minister since the country had already grown accustom to his style of leadership. Also he indicated that the substance of the press release remained relevant and that Rowley should focus on the issues contained in it instead of attempting to trivialize the matter over a grammatical error.
