One more for AG Ramlogan
CHALK UP ONE MORE FOR THE PP GOVERNMENT AND AG RAMLOGAN
The agreement by Hyatt to pay 334 million dollars to UDECOTT and by extension to the TT Gov’t is one more feather in the cap of AG Anand Ramlogan.
HYATT has learned a bitter lesson by withholding legitimate profits due to TT as a result of the country’s investment in HYATT. The question must be asked as to what happened to interest on the amounts withheld since the inception of HYATT. This case proves that international giants cannot come into supposedly third world countries and behave in a manner that discriminates against the people of the country as the ultimate owners of the investment in HYATT.
Over the last few years AG Anand Ramlogan has ensured that the country’s resources have been well protected. These include the 1.4 billion dollar settlement with BAE over the long range patrol vessel and the recent claim by GTL against Petrotrin for billions of dollars in what is now a white elephant that has to be sold as scrap after the country lost 2.5 billion dollars. Who from the past regime will pay for this?
For far too long this country has been raped by foreigners at the expense of citizens. Way back in the seventies A French Company by the name of Nord France left the country and left several contractors unpaid. They never got their money. The very French were allowed to come back under VINCI to work in TT. It is this very French company which according to public tenders opened has bid 200 million more to construct the Curepe interchange. We cannot allow our country to continue to be financially assaulted like this anymore. Hats off to UIDECOTT and the Attorney General for standing up against HYATT.
