Newer and healthier politics
THE EDITOR: Allow me to express my support for Ms Khadijah Ameen in the upcoming Chaguanas bye-elections.
The People’s Partnership has indeed made a good move in selecting her as their candidate. She is young, very bright and has a warm and amicable disposition that will be well received by the people.
When you combine this with a track-record of helping people and years of hard work and integrity, we see Ms Ameen as another vital step in promoting a newer and healthier politics in this country.
This PP Government must be lauded for the great strides they have made as far as youth empowerment is concerned, while at the same time they have purged themselves of the impurities that could shake the people’s confidence in good governance.
When you look at our youngest Attorney General in our country’s history (who has raised the bar as far as effective legislation and litigation are concerned), or the Honourable Ministers Stacy Roopnarine, Glen Ramad-
harsingh, Kevin Ramnarine (who really impressed me with his intelligence) and Ramona Ramdial, there really is reason to believe that the country will see growth and development.
These people are smart and ready to work with new ideas and a drive to help the people — Ms Ameen is certainly no exception. Great choice PP! We look forward to continued development and success.
