KAMLA PAYS TRIBUTE TO MR. CLIVE PANTIN
It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of beloved philanthropist, educator and former Parliamentarian Mr. Clive Pantin.
Mr. Pantin dedicated many years of his life to service to our fellow countrymen and women, and was always ready and willing to assist others. He served as a mentor to students of Fatima College, both as a teacher and later principal, inspiring many young men to strive toward excellence. He was greatly admired by all whose lives he touched.
In seeking to assist the less fortunate in our country, Clive Pantin was moved to establish a Non-Governmental Organization to do just that – help those in need. He established the Foundation for the Enhancement and Enrichment of Life (FEEL), which distributes food and clothing to the underprivileged.
I remember him fondly as a warm, humble and patriotic son of the soil, and I shared his commitment to the elevation of our nation’s children through education and his compassion for the poor and vulnerable.
Trinidad and Tobago has lost a truly noble and selfless individual.
Clive Pantin lived a long and fulfilling life, and I have no doubt that his legacy of humanitarianism and service will live on. His contribution to our nation is inestimable, and we should all seek to emulate a man who was so rich in spirit, and be inspired to give back to our communities.
Greg and I, and our extended UNC family, extend our deepest condolences to the family of Clive Pantin, and we join the national community in mourning the loss of this remarkable man.
