If you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones
Dear Editor,
As my mother used to say, “if you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones”. This is clearly the case with the recent development where 7 FIFA officials were arrested, and 14 indicted in a US corruption case. Among the indicted defenders is no other than our very own Jack Warner (Former FIFA vice president and leader of the ILP). This is the same individual who preached integrity and condemned the current administration’s governance after he was himself asked to step down having not cleared his name in the very same FIFA allegations.
This latest case highlights and reinforces what many of us believed to be shady dealings hanging over the head of the leader of the ILP. Now tell me, how is it that Mr Warner attempts to fights 41 seats in the upcoming General elections with this new development. In my mind, he has no choice but to be cleared of these allegations before he presents himself again to the public.
