Dear Editor:
No legacy is so rich as honesty
William Shakespeare
I was listening to the radio this week and I had the pleasure of hearing an advertisement that Mr. Jack Warner was delivery for one of his meetings. He closed by saying “be the change you want to see”. I stopped in shock, thinking that he could not be serious. How could a man who is know worldwide for his corruption be on the radio cajoling me to follow him and his promise of a “bright” future. The irony was astounding, to say the least!
I wonder does Mr. Warner want me to change into a person who does not respect the rules? I wonder does Mr. Warner want me to change into a person who will put their leader in many compromising positions, and then repay them by seeking to destroy them? I wonder does Mr. Warner want me to change into someone who, rather that try to clear my name when accused, resign and run away? I wonder does Mr. Warner want me to become someone who the FBI is interested in? Come on Jack, your idea of change is something we can do without!
