Fighting the Government
THE EDITOR: I always thought the Government’s duty was to fight crime and safeguarding its people, but not here in Trinidad. The criminals have been getting so much support, and I am sure they are laughing their hearts out, although they are heartless with their atrocious crimes.
I have never seen a government having to fight the criminals, and also certain people, to save the inhabitants of this country from the criminal elements. Sometimes I wonder if these people enjoy the crime. It would seem they have their own agendas. It shows the unpatriotic people we have here in this country. They love the destructive and laissez-faire PNM, but not Trinidad and its peoples.
Those who want to fix Trinidad must look in the mirror first and see deception, evil and destruction that would leave grief in the end. When the “wrong table” saboteurs and others plan to destabilise this country to bring back the PNM to totally destroy, and take Trinidad off the map this time for eternity.
The two aggressive members of the police welfare association having run down the two Canadian Commissioners are executing the same kind of behaviour on the present commissioner. Mr Stephen Williams as his accordance with the joint “Army-Police affair”. The next thing these two may object to is the army and police marching together on Independence Day with their debilitating mentality.
It is time to examine those people who are only trying to add to the problems we already have, and those trampling on our democracy and using it to destroy this country. People are too happy here and they envy “Syria and Egypt”. Serious crimes are committed here every day yet we have some PNM supporters who prefer to sacrifice their own family lives because they do not want the present Government to solve the crime situation.
The strike was on in the oilfields, it was timely with all the tension in the country at this time. The braggart inane leader of OWTU has threatened to shut down the country, and make governance difficult, but the authorities must show him who is in charge, while he would think of his own position and that of not being powerful as he thinks.
It is hard to see that this caring Government has to fight the criminals, the PNM and those who support the PNM who oppose the People’s Partnership Government from doing their duty in protecting the lives of our people in Trinidad. The facts are real. I hope the observant people in this country would see who support the criminal elements with the hideous evil fixing Trinidad miscreants and the PNM cohorts who are against certain army powers of arrest.
