Carapichaima Carnival 2015 Launched
CARAPICHAIMA Carnival 2015 was officially launched by the New Carapichaima Carnival Committee (NCCC) on Sunday with a grand display of Old Mas, Calypso and Soca.
“Carapichaima is well known for its Monday Night Mas and this year’s is supposed to be the largest since inception”, said NCCC Chairman, Llewellyn Mc Donald.
Couva North MP, Ramona Ramdial in her feature address said, “Carapichaima Carnival continues to bring out the surrounding communities for clean and enjoyable fun”. She commended the mas bands for their creativity and commitment to regional carnival activities and thanked the Ministry of Arts and Multiculturalism as well as the National Carnival Commission (NCC) for their continued funding of regional carnival.
Ramdial also promised to continue to work closely with central division police to ensure a safe Carnival 2015.
